Welcome to CIAS EU
Project DioCo adapts open source platform CIAS for European data security and privacy standards
CIAS – short for Computerized Intervention Authoring System – is a no-code development platform that allows you to create digital, interactive, and multimedia interventions without any programming knowledge. Your study participants receive the intervention, either anonymously or personalized, as a web app directly on their mobile devices upon invitation. Track the progress and results of your intervention live on the dashboard.
Developed by the Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine, CIAS has been successfully used in the USA for a long time. In the DioCo project, University Medical Center Göttingen, in collaboration with the Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung (GWDG), is now adapting the already HIPAA-compliant platform to meet European data protection and data security regulations.
In its adapted form, CIAS will be offered as CIAS-EU on GWDG's servers for scientific use across Europe. Join our list of interested parties now: we will keep you informed about the development status and notify you first upon release.
Multilingual
CIAS supports you and, if necessary, your translators in converting your intervention into the languages of your study participants.
GDPR-compliant
The core of the development involves adjusting or replacing specific functionality to ensure GDPR-compliant data processing and storage, including integrated third-party services if necessary.
